Welcome!
The MoKan Chapter of the American Business Women's Association is based in Kansas City. Our chapter was chartered on April 27th, 1980 in Lenexa, Kansas, with 34 charter members. This chapter and many other Kansas City chapters are members of the Kansas City Area Council which meets to brainstorm new ideas and share common issues.

During our 31 years we have enjoyed much success along with change. We continue to grow and evolve while providing scholarships to local college students, and educational opportunities, business and professional support to our own members. Our current membership is approximately 30. New and transferring members bring new ideas and fresh viewpoints and we’re always ready for new members!

ABWA Mission:
To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership education, networking support and national recognition.
