Speakers
Outside speakers present various topics each month. Topics focus on professional development, including some personal development issues to enhance members’ individual ‘brand’. If you are interested in presenting at one of our meetings or know of a good candidate, please contact the Program Chair, Jennie Darby.

Conferences & Seminars
Annual conferences, both on a national and a regional level, are sponsored by the national ABWA organization. Seminar topics include both professional development issues, as well as personal growth subjects. The chapter helps subsidize some of the costs of registration for members attending the conferences.

      Spring:  Six Regional conferences; our chapter is part of District III
      Fall: National conference - 2009 was held in Kansas City to celebrate the ABWA 60th Anniversay!!
                        The 2010 National Conference will be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee, October 28-30

Scholarships
ABWA also offers interest-free grants through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). For more information, please contact the Professional Development Chair or any of the board members.
